Dirty Looks: Desire and Decay in Fashion at The Barbican Featuring Zandra Rhodes Archive

Zandra is thrilled to be featured as one of the iconic designers exhibiting their work at The Barbican’s new exhibition for AW25 titled ‘Dirty Looks.’

‘Dirty Looks: Desire and Decay in Fashion’ is an adventurous new exhibition exploring how contemporary fashion has harnessed the rebellious, romantic and regenerative potentials of dirt and decay. Uniting over 60 iconic fashion houses and emerging designers from across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas, this major exhibition traces fashion’s enduring fascination with ‘dirty’ aesthetics – from their emergence in the West as symbols of transgression and rebellion, to their evolution into radical forms of craft that question global consumption habits and redefine ideas of modernity, beauty and luxury.

A White Jersey and Satin Panel Punk Wedding Dress Decorated with Swarovski Crystals, Beaded Safety Pins and Chains from Zandra’s Conceptual Chic collection of 1977/78 is featured as part of the exhibit.

Running from Thur 25 September 2025 – Sun 25 Jan 2026. You can book tickets here.
